We recently had blogger Lauren Carey come into the salon and write about her experience in Life Magazines May 2019 Issue. Read about her experience here:
Self-care can often drop down in our list of priorities in life, especially when we are so busy. I for one let my hair go untouched for several months of extensive travelling. Once I arrived in London I realised the neglect was evident. I had had enough of the dry, tangled ends, outgrown roots and dull colour so immediately made an appointment with the salon that I rely on always bringing my hair back to life - Hair@261.
Located at 261 New Kings Road in London’s Parson’s Green, Hair@261 has a reputation for its upscale service and beautifully modern, eclectic space. The interior of the salon offers a perfect balance of class and style, with contemporary furniture, stunning lighting, and an eclectic mix of eye-catching neon art pieces that truly make it unique and memorable. On walking into the salon you are greeted by the warm and welcoming team and offered a drink from their extensive menu. Tea and coffee are always a given, but I happily passed these up in favour of one of their own delicious cocktails. I went for the 261 Signature - a gorgeous blend of Kew Gin, Angostura Bitters, Fevertree Tonic and a sprig of rosemary. Enjoy prosecco and Pimms through the summer months and warm up with mulled wine during the winter season. Honestly, the drink menu gives local watering holes a run for their money! What is better than a G&T while you get pampered?
I knew drastic measures would be required to get my tired hair back to a healthy state. I was prepared to chop off a significant amount, as well as hoping to be able to correct years of failed attempts to achieve certain colours and highlights. My stylist sat with me for a thorough consultation while she listened to my vision, discussed the photos I had found for inspiration, and then got to work. We began with a relaxing hair wash and head massage which was arguably the highlight of my service. I then watched years of damage transform in front of my eyes. Using quality Wella products for the color and a specially selected conditioning treatment, my hair went from dry and damaged to shiny and refreshed. I requested natural waves for my final look, and my hair was blow-dried and curled to perfection.
As if expert hair services and delicious cocktails aren’t enough, the salon is now offering an array of unisex nail services as well. Whether its a cut, colour or blow dry, or just a fresh manicure you are after, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend hair@261.
